Design Process

  • Research & Concept Development: I started by researching top eSports team branding to get a feel for the market. I then experimented with several mascot designs before landing on the gorilla concept.

  • Mascot & Branding Design: Refined the gorilla mascot into a powerful figure, created vector logos, and other complementary branding elements.

  • Animated Graphics & YouTube Video Overlays: Designed animations and personalized YouTube overlays for each player.

Lessons Learned & Final Reflection

  • This project taught me valuable lessons in balancing creativity with functionality, designing for versatility, and using animation thoughtfully to enhance a brand without overwhelming it.

  • Bad Timing operated as an eSports organization for two and a half years before recently rebranding as 'Outlaws' under the same CEO and core team. Thanks to my strong design work and attention to their branding needs, I was hired last month to develop Outlaws' new identity.

  • Building long-term relationships with my clients by working closely with them and ensuring their vision is met has been key to maintaining my reputation and securing repeat business.
